Dr. Stamatina Adams is an accomplished hospitalist with a distinguished international and U.S.-based career in internal medicine. A graduate who led the class in the Hippocratic Oath at the University of Patras School of Medicine in Greece, Dr. Adams brings more than two decades of clinical, academic, and volunteer experience to her latest role at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, Texas, where she currently serves as a full-time hospitalist.

After completing her medical degree in 1996, Dr. Adams began her career with a rotary internship across multiple specialties at the University Hospital of Rio Patras. Her academic excellence was recognized early, having been ranked at the top of her class by the National Scholarship Foundation. She later pursued extensive clinical training and residency in the United States, completing her Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in New York (2017–2020).

Following her residency, Dr. Adams was a full-time hospitalist at several institutions, including San Juan Regional Medical Center in New Mexico and St. Joseph Health–CHI in Bryan and College Station, Texas. She continues to serve in PRN roles at Baylor Grapevine, St. Joseph Health, and San Juan Regional Medical Center, demonstrating her strong commitment to community health.

In addition to her robust clinical background, Dr. Adams has deep roots in medical research. She held postdoctoral fellowships at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and UT Southwestern Medical Center, where her work focused on insulin secretion, pancreatic beta cell function, and islet cell biology. Her research contributions have been presented at NIH/NIDDK and other academic forums.

Dr. Adams is also dedicated to humanitarian service and advocacy. She was a founding member of FLITE to FREEDOM, a nonprofit that supports personal empowerment for underserved populations. Her volunteer efforts span decades, including service with UNICEF, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Armstrong Elementary School, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's Elan Circle.

Dr. Adams is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She is fluent in English, Greek, and French. She maintains active membership in the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Society of Hospital Medicine, the Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas Medical Society.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Adams enjoys swimming, international travel, and early morning walks with her family. She is also an accomplished painter, donating her artwork to charities such as the Cattle Baron’s Ball for cancer research and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
