Dr. Fesmire received her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center after having received her Bachelors of Arts in Biology and Masters of Arts in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. She served her Residency and Internship at Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Fesmire has participated in several areas of Research as well as an FDA-funded Clinical Trial. She currently serves as Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center with additional responsibilities as Supervising Faculty, Assistant Course Director and serving on the Clinical Guidelines Committee.

- Full General Internal Medicine practice at the James W. Aston Ambulatory Care Center with additional academic commitment of 6-12 weeks per year as Supervising Faculty of the Southwestern house staff at Parkland Hospital.
- Assistant Course Director - Introduction to Clinical Medicine Course at UTSW.
- Clinical Guidelines Committee. Participate in the development of practice guidelines used at the Aston Center, Parkland Hospital, and Out-patient Clinics; Co-Author of Guidelines for Treatment of the Abnormal Pap Smear and Evaluation and Treatment of Community Acquired Pneumonias.
